Frequently Asked Questions
How much does paving cost in Adelaide?
Costs vary depending on the paving material, area size, base preparation and site access. We'll provide a clear, itemised quote after an on-site assessment.
Should I choose natural stone or porcelain?
Both are excellent choices, but they suit different needs. Natural stone offers an organic, unique look and ages beautifully over time, while porcelain gives a consistent, low-maintenance finish that's highly resistant to staining and fading. We'll walk you through the pros and cons of each for your specific space, climate exposure and budget, and help you decide what works best.
How do you handle drainage for paved areas?
We install the correct drainage and falls for your paving to ensure water runs off effectively, protecting both the paving and your home's foundations. Where additional plumbing work is required, we work with a network of trusted local plumbers who can assist as part of the project.
What grout or jointing do you use?
It depends on the paving type. Porcelain is jointed with a purpose-made tile grout, while crazy paving is typically pointed as we go with a sand-and-cement or cement-based grout. For select crazy paving projects, we can also turn the joints into a feature, infilling with Yankomite and planting for a softer finish.
How long does installation take?
Installation timeframes vary depending on the scope of the project, design complexity, site access, material availability, and the construction schedule. Once we've assessed your project, we'll provide a clear timeline upfront and keep you informed throughout every stage of the build.
Do you handle permits or council requirements?
Yes, we can guide you through any necessary approvals as part of the process, including pool safety compliance where relevant.
